Our mechanics allow you to toggle if you're aiming your weapon. Firing will automatically raise your weapon but requires a short delay. Anticipating your shots and aiming ahead of time will allow you to fire instantly. This does however make it more difficult to pass through doors or take cover until lowering your weapon.
The previous example shows placeholder animations for responsive firing and reloading. Muzzle flashes can also be used to determine if a weapon is firing.
Your aiming state is remembered across various actions such as reloading or climbing. We plan to add dropped magazines and shell ejections in future updates.
